WebMaps for Wordpress) integrates the power of “where” into your pages and posts with interactive maps exposing authoritative content. Web Maps is designed to bridge the gap between authoritative maps registered with ArcGIS Online and WordPress (the most widely used CMS on the market). Note, you are not required to have an ArcGIS Online account to use/take advantage of this plugin, however, for users that do, you can use your org's AGOL content within the plug-in, making it even more powerful! == Description == Quickly and easily search and add interactive maps to your pages and posts with the "Add a Map" button. Designed similar to the familiar "Add Media" button. Integrate the power of "where" into your pages and posts with interactive maps exposing authoritative content. Designed to bridge the gap between authoritative maps registered with ArcGIS Online and WordPress. = Functionality = While editing pages or posts, you'll notice the addition of an "Add Map" button next to "Add Media". The Add Map button is designed to provide WordPress users with a more streamlined process for embedding web maps in their pages and posts. While very similar to the Add Media button, Add Map puts millions of interactive maps at the fingertips of bloggers, website creators, media outlets and news organizations. For the first time, millions of WordPress users will be able to seamlessly enhance the information they're communicating with authoritative maps exposing authoritative content from authoritative sources. The following outlines various features of the Add Map button: Searching for Maps: Configuring Maps: Viewing Maps: = Configure (Pro Version Only) = 1. After uploading the plugin. 1. Click on "Settings" from the menu bar in your admin panel. 1. Click the "Web Maps Pro" link to go to the plugin's settings. 1. Under the Account Settings" tab, insert your ArcGIS Online Organization's URL 1. Under the "Advanced Content Tree Widget Settings" tab enter your "Items Summary Page ID". Leave blank if you are unsure. 1. Click "Save Changes" button once all chances are finalized. = Want even more functionality? Go Pro = The plugin is designed to interact directly with a single ArcGIS Online organization (primary organization). On the general configuration page for the plugin, you specify the URL for the primary organization that you wish to interact with via the plugin. While the plugin is configured to a single ArcGIS Online organization, it honors cross-organization sharing of items via groups that contain items owned by other ArcGIS Online organizations (secondary organizations) and shared with “Everyone (public)”. Activate "Web Maps for Wordpress Plugin" in the Plugins admin panel OR Download and unzip the plugin Upload the plugin file by clicking on "Plugins" from the menu bar in your admin panel. Click the "Add New" link within the plugin menu bar. Click the "Upload" link at the top of the Install Plugins Page. Choose File, Find the file. Click "Open." Then click "Install Now" button. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress (if it is not already activated). == Screenshots == 1. The "Add Map" button enables users to quickly and easily insert maps into their post and is designed similar to the Add Media button. 2. The latest featured maps from ArcGIS Online are initially shown in the search directory. 3. You can search and browse for maps by using keywords that are related to your post. 4. Once a map is chosen, you have several options for formatting and customizing your maps within the post. 5. The map is embedded in your post and interacts with your readers. 6.
